I went to a deaf event for my class on May 15th.
It was a fundraiser for another college’s ASL program at Xtreme Frozen Yogurt.
It was actually really fun! There was a great turn out and I got to chat with a few people while donating:)
Well,
I’ve decided to make a blog to document down all of my ASL adventures and whatnot.
This blog will feature pictures and videos and anything else that I do while trying to make my way into part of the deaf community. I’ve been in two classes so far, and I realize that I should start documenting down the whole process. I figure it will be nice to look back on years from now. Plus, it’ll help keep track of any projects I have to do and things like that.
I love the language, I think that it is absolutely beautiful, and if all goes well and I work hard enough, I plan to be an interpreter one day.
I’m only in ASL 2, so I’ve got a long way to go, but the adventure just gets better and better as I progress on:)
